The 4th and final Wolverine drafted tonight. Congrats Jack!

Coach Bakich really is building something special, never thought I'd see the day where this many M baseball players would be picked this early in the draft.

Criswell might have gone a few picks later than expected. All the others went earlier than expected. Indeed Nwogu and Franklin were not sure players to be drafted although they were deemed likely.  I don’t recall seeing any projections in which Blomgren was going to be drafted.

Welp.  That's 5 players, including incoming Freshman OF Owen Caisse, who probably won't be playing for Michigan next year.

You certainly have to hand it to Bakich, though, with the amount of talent Michigan has brought in over the last few years.

No, they all have college eligibility remaining, so they still have the option of signing with their team or returning to college.  Teams have until September 1 to sign their draft picks, or else they go back into the draft pool.

Since the draft this year is only 5 rounds, though, I'm guessing that the MLB teams will press pretty hard to get all of their draft picks signed.

This shows the player development and recruiting prowess from Bakich and coaching staff. There is a reason why Michigan made it to the National Championship Series last season. Michigan baseball are in good hands with Bakich as their manager
