Jace Howard interview
I've posted a few interviews that my son has done in the past (Kwity, Aiden, Nunez). He is trying to post an interview of a Michigan player each Wednesday. Yesterday he posted one with Jace Howard. Take a listen:
https://theprattle1.podbean.com/e/ww5-michigan-hoops-commit-jace-howard/
Some highlights:
-his high school team was ranked #4 in the nation last year
- he enjoys playing on the same team as his little brother (and top 75 2022 recruit) Jett
-Princeton and Brown were his other finalist (his parents have stressed academics before anything else)
-his dad calls him a Draymond Green-type player
- he's the captain of his high school team
-thinks the Heat will win the NBA championship this year and says why
-Bronny, Jett, Zaire Wade and Jace would battle at halftime of the Heat games on the practice court
-coolest moments from having his dad play for the Heat? Sneaking Drake into the Heat locker room and playing hoops with Justin Bieber
seems like a really nice, well spoken kid.

Well spoken?

In case you're wondering, according to Google, it means "someone who communicates easily, correctly and eloquently". Used in a sentence... Jace Howard is a very well spoken young man and is going to be very successful in whatever he chooses to do.

In case you are wondering, which I wasnt, you should check out Urban Dictionary.

Why bother with Merriam-Webster when we've got Urban Dictionary. UD is great for finding out what new nicknames have been given to weird sex acts though, I'll grant you that.

Last week my son interviewed walk-on hoops player Luke Wilson. He was also well spoken

We win some recruiting battles against Princeton and lose some.

The Heat may go pretty deep into the playoffs.

Draymond Green type player is a compliment?

If you take the flat earth nut kicking character out of the mix I would say yes.

That's my point. That's a lot of surgery to perform regardless of talent.

That made me laugh.

OMG...just listened. Honestly, this Jace commitment had an unsettling feeling for me...like, "Is he just getting this spot because he is Juwan's kid?". However, I have to say-after listening to this, he may be their most important get. What an intelligent, mature young man....really quite remarkable. This is the kind of glue player great teams need to realize their potential. He is going to make his teammates better...play their best.
OT-sort of: I hope y'all listen to yesterday's BTN interview of AJ Henning. Again, what a bright, articulate young man-similar to Jace. This is what continues to draw me to Michigan sports. And the Hutch interview on WTKA today...and on and on. This is the heart and soul of what interscholastic athletics is about.
