Isaiah Livers profile
I thought that this was an interesting profile of Livers — who I believe is the first Michigan Mr. Basketball to come here since Dion Harris. Among other things, the article talks about his multi-sport background including baseball, bringing back memories of his half court inbound pass against Houston

This team will go as far as Isaiah Livers takes them. He's the undisputed leader and his teammates are going to embody his mentality. That passion he showed in that "incident" with Juwan, as well as the subsequent elevation in his level of play the rest of the game, tells us all we need to know about his commitment.

Did the article talk about him arguing with his coach during a timeout. I wonder what Coach K at Duke would have done with that. But Coach K coaches in the south in the ACC which is close to the SEC and he cheats each and every game and his cheating was the direct cause for Michigan losses last year.

Great article, for giving us a broader perspective on Livers. I especially liked three things, that his parents emphasize finishing what you start (one more year on the team?), that he's been pushed hard on the importance of learning, and that the University has been such a great experience for him as a person. That's most of what parents want for their children.
Thanks for posting.

With Dickinson showing how good of a low post passer he is, Livers may still be able to replicate his insanely high 3 point % from most of last year.
Livers needs to sure up his handle a little bit more which will help him in his ability to attack the basket and finish at the rim. Right now he has pretty good pull-up game, but if he adds a better handle; matched with his shooting and D, will lead him to an NBA roster.

That’s a hell of an article on a kid a lot of the people in Kalamazoo are proud of. I liked his rocket football picture with the Parchment Jersey. He grew up playing youth sports in there. I didn’t see much out of him his freshman season at Michigan, but boy has he blossomed into just an awesome player.
