Basketball kids don't seem to flip much but there's still plenty of time. I had very high hopes for Nimari but with DDJ's ascension Michigan can wait for Lander. Lots to like about the beginning of Coach Howard's tenure-the too early to tell report has Michigan basketball ascending to the truly elite level. Lots of Sparty fans are already getting very anxious-the criticisms they are voicing are sadly pathetic-pathological. So Harbaugh starts slapping them around and now Howard is looking to be a juggernaut...too bad so sad!

Watching ESPN between the end of our game and the start of the next one, you'd never know the BIG was doing anything.  Don't know if anyone else caught it, but it was infuriating to watch.

I find/found them to be sadly humorous-they were frickin' cheerleaders for North Carolina. Though they suddenly got very quiet when Michigan went on that huge run...but there they were...right back at it when the lead got down to the ten range. But this is what happens every year. The grinding B1G style of play is very successful against the high-flying athletes that the SEC and Big 12 run out there.  And this is the beauty of this game-the more cerebral component of this game can dominate the physical aspects-even with slightly lesser athletes.

It is a long season and many things can change. However, this open, free-flowing style of play that Howard is bringing is very difficult to strategize against. The foreshadowing here suggests that Howard may well be able to capture and employ both the elite physical and mental elements-that make basketball the best sport to play. And here, if Howard starts pulling in top 5 recruiting classes-Whoa Nellie!

No foul...looks like the Las Vegas Invitational refs also share a disdain for the B1G. Hope Iowa becomes the second B1G team to win an invitational championship today!
