Illinois

I hate to remind people how badly Illinois physically whipped Michigan last season, but I've been dreading this game all year. Illinois is not a good football team, they are not well coached, they are prone to mistakes and have generally looked awful in every game this season. Michigan should win....but, this is the game I fear, the must win, certain win game on the road vs a team that thinks you're its biggest rival, desperate for a win themselves. I saw the look on Rich Rodriguez's face today, it was the same exact one he had last year vs Toledo and Northwestern. I did not like the demeanor of the coaches or players today.

is a team capable of beating any team in the big ten, but also losing to any team in the big ten. It makes every week a possibility for a huge upset or an overwhelming defeat. Reason to watch every game and reason to be optimistic about the remaining games, but also reason to worry about the illinois game...

Illinois looks at Michigan as their biggest rival. Why they dont focus on trying to beat Missou or Iowa instead, I don't know. But there are as many muck fichigan and lloyd carr is a whore type t-shirts as one would see in east lansing. I have never understood why they think we are their rival, and although they probably do not have a countdown clock for us, they will look at this as a bigger game. They pasted us last year too. This will be no cake walk, and I agree there is a 50% chance we lose this game.
