I'm proud to say the curse has been lifted.

I was convinced I was cursed. Every game I had been to previously was a huge upset loss to a team we'd had no business losing to (App St., Toledo, etc.). I went to the spring game this year with the idea that I would be able to break my curse, since Michigan would be unable to "lose," what with it being a scrimmage and all. I'm proud to say that I was at the DSU game Saturday to witness my first Michigan victory in person. What a great feeling, even if it was just DSU. Yes, I know it's a cool story, bro. Save it. I'm excited.

Amazingly, I had the same thought Saturday for my daughter Sommy. See, my daughter is going to be 5 years old on November 21st. The day she was born, was nearly 5 years ago when Troy Smith and the Buckeyes defeated a heavily favored Michigan team in 2004 and started this stretch. Since the day of her birth, we have (as we all know) not beated OSU. In addition, the very first football game that I ever took her too was (you guessed it), "The Horror". BUT, all this has been corrected! Last Saturday I took a chance with her and brought her to DSU. And 'LO, not only did we win but we set the all time UofM offensive yardage record. As I walked with her out of the stadium, it was like a cloud lifted from over her head. I am convinced that the curse is broken and I will say it now - We WILL beat the Buckeyes this year!

Is it just coincidence that your daughter and the OP have the same name. I'm guessing it's a coincidence since I doubt that the OP is 4. Regardless, I'm glad to hear that all "Sommy"s can attend M games without fear in the future. Additionally, congrats on breaking the streak.

Actually, what happened is that Fernando Rodney wasn't at this game, but he showed up for App State and Utah and Toledo. Little known fact.
