This leaves us with 2 more open spots. Games at UCF and at Oregon are rumored but have not been confirmed yet. I can’t wait for basketball season! SELLOUT CRISLER!! Every damn game!
Gonna creep down 94 for at least a couple games. Fans will be back and our homecourt advantage was improving. Crisler will be rocking!!
Going to be a pretty fun & competitive non-conference schedule. Buffalo was 77 on KenPom to finish last year, so they are no means a pushover and look great from a resume perspective. Equivalent of playing a Marquette/Provident/NC State in the rankings from last year.
Buffalo's just the sort of opponent a good B1G team should be scheduling for a home buy game.
Don’t forget about:
2022 Final Four
Sat, Apr 2, 2022 – Mon, Apr 4, 2022
Location: Mercedes-Benz Superdome
pretty tough pre big ten schedule, got to be one of harder ones on paper we've had going into a season especially if we add oregon or ucf, no?
UNC and Kentucky back to back. So glad the UK game won't be during finals or Winter Break.
This can't come soon enough. I need this. We all need this. GO BLUE!
I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about the colleges and universities of this great land. I have never heard of Tarleton St.
Tarleton is a recent addition to D-1 ....... they moved-up from D2 and they play in the wild wild WAC. They were actually D-1 last season (2020-21) but much of that got lost because of the pandemic, I don't think they played any non-conference hoops games.
They're located in Stephensville, ~ 100 miles west/southwest of Fort Worth. The heart of Texas Cowboy country.
Tarleton is definitely not a state, however. I don't know what a "Tarleton" is. Everything I wrote above I knew without looking up, so I won't cheat here by looking up "Tarleton." My guess is some old Central Texas cowboy with a last name of Tarleton helped found or fund the school in some regard. Which would make him the equivalent of Mr. Rutgers, who got a school named after him too.
Tarleton does sound a lot like Tartar, which reminds me of Wayne State, which isn't a state either!
I thought that Tarleton was an old time cigarette brand. On further review I find that was Tareyton.
Founding memeber of the Texas A&M system. Apparently.
