Here is the Detroit News article Gardner was referring to
http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090219/OPINION03/90…
FYI, internet sites usually have the next day's news around 1-3AM. Anyway, the article has the top 13 or whatever MI recruits for 2010 and DG is on top of the list (big surprise). So, that's likely what he was referring to when he told people to check out tomorrow's (now today's) Det News sports section.
It mentions that he dropped OSU but says his recruitment will last awhile...
EDIT: I just noticed that this thread was preempted by a post in the other thread by none other than RRerabegins2009. That is pretty hilarious.

CB Mylan Hicks from Renaissance is an MSU lock. He verifiably HATES Michigan, for reasons I cannot understand. I went to school/played baseball with the kid. He's a great athlete, but if bigger fish than MSU don't come along he'll go Sparty.

I won't shed any tears if we land any of the people higher on our list, though. We seem to be in on a number of good CBs so far.

There seems to be a bit of an anti-UM/pro-MSU bug floating around at a few prominent high schools in Michigan...Southeastern, OLSM, Renaissance, Brother Rice...
Obviously not sure if that's the case with Hicks though. Maybe his parents are Spartans?

(and I'm not familiar with MI HSs so this was news to me), it seemed like a good chunk of them had former teammates as current MSU players. Pure speculation (aside from some anecdotes), but it seems like MSU players are much more inclined to bash M. So, maybe not all that surprising that the younger players have certain preconceived notions about M before they come and take a visit - OMG they are so arrogant!
Consider this VOID. The kid has warmed to UM as they began recruiting him harder.

You could of just posted it and said heres michigans top players for 2010.
PS. I don't get your little edit thing, and others probably won't either. So..? Kids got jokes...

Are you really criticizing the fact that I gave a preview of what's in the link and hit the highlights? Many people don't have the time or inclination to click through a link and read the article in its entirety.
P.S. I'm not surprised you don't get it.

I bet 50% of the people didn't see the other thread. So why make a new one? I was the 3rd to post the article up in that thread.
I really don't get you.

1. A thread popped up saying OMG DG is telling us to read tomorrow's Det News, what will it say?
2. I go to Det News website, find the article and post this thread so it doesn't get buried/overlooked in the other thread.
3. I go to the old thread and find that you already posted the link.
4. I add the edit to give you credit for getting to the link first.
5. I spend 3 minutes explaining this to you because you are a moron.

The 5 step process.

Thanks for the link and the new subject line. I found it useful and probably wouldn't have gone back to the other thread.

Arguing about "credit" for link-posting. The internets rule!
