You know it's bad when ESPN has more credibility than you do.
At first I was going to add "when it comes to recruiting i agree", but then I thought about it and I was like yeah your original comment is fine.
Maybe it's time to remove Rivals from the composite or just not even have a composite (ESPN you ain't much better). If you don't have a big enough staff to review and rank a 4 star kid, do you offer enough credibility to be considered as a top recruiting site?
I think 247 should consider using their rankings as the primary, and keep the composite just for those who are curious. They seem to put more effort into their evaluations than the others by such a wide margin that the others don't even carry any value.
Rivals has him rated. He's a 3* to them. He doesn't show up in their positional rankings because he's rated too low. They also rank him as an athlete rather than as a safety, which seems reasonable, even if they have him too low.

Rivals is way higher on the UM class than 247 is, so if you think they gave up years ago then that's not good.
It can't be true...247 says there is still 1 hour and 15 minutes to go on his commit watch.
A lot to like about this kid-he may be the best RB in the class too. And, unless I am mistaken, he has a teammate who is not only the #1DT in the 2021 class but also one of the very best first basemen in the nation...all 6'4" 290 pounds of him. So...!!!...nice segway there!!!
where did you see this info re his teammate? delran is not exactly known for producing top national prospects and i havent seen anything about a talented 2021 at that school. sounds like a kid brown and co would be all over
He's talking about Tywone Malone – from New Jersey, but not Delran (goes to Bergen Catholic). Malone was on campus Thursday, so we're on him, at least on the football side. He'd be a big fish for Bakich to reel in too.

Paige will be next in the safety triumvirate for the class. Glad to see our defensive backfield will be patrolled by some excellent athletes for the next few years. Hope we can add a lock down CB or two but this is an awesome get for the class. Welcome aboard!

True, but it would nice to have someone back there that can make plays on a consistent basis. Like an Ed Reed/Earl Thomas type that make things happen. Or a Ronnie Lott/Steve Atwater type that will knock your head off. I know those guys are elite, but it's been awhile since we've had someone on the back end that makes those game changing plays. Has there been a safety that has blown someone up since Earnest Shazor's big game winning hit against Purdue back in '04?

Yes, 247 indicates we are looking to use him in the viper position.
We tend to tell all the S recruits we will look at them as a Viper. We told Hill and Johnson the same thing last year. I wouldn't read too much into it.
