"Michigan could not get a TRO granted this morning. Instead, a hearing has been scheduled for Friday, November 17. Both sides will be present to argue. Jim Harbaugh will not coach against Penn State. Sherrone Moore will serve as the acting head coach.

Michigan issued a statement;

“We look forward to presenting our case next week where we intend to demonstrate that the Big Ten has not acted legally or fairly.”

Michigan plays Penn State at noon today. Michigan will play Maryland Saturday, November 18. No game time has been announced."

So, using the 14 day time limit previously discussed, is there possibly a strategy to make sure he's available for The Game? I personally would rather he miss today vs two weeks from today

Another thing to remember about this is that the NCAA is fast tracking it’s investigation. The only conceivable reason for doing that is they want to hammer Michigan before the season is over. An NCAA-imposed penalty would likely render moot Michigan’s objections to what the Big 10 is doing.

“We look forward to presenting our case next week where we intend to demonstrate that the Big Ten has not acted legally or fairly.” More exhibits than the 50 biggest zoos in the country combined (obviously not including the Big Ten Advisory Commission).

No hearing until Friday?  So this remains up in the air all week of practice.  At least he is allowed to coach during the week, but that's still frustrating.

No doubt but this sucks to high heaven.

The next hearing will start at 9:30 AM. Since we don't know the kickoff time for the Maryland game at this time, Jim will be on the plane but the question is if he'll be able to coach on the sideline.

It all means the drama has not ended. Meanwhile, the knives and pitchforks against Jim and football program will continue in the national media.

If Michigan has anything real on other teams, they have to show it before the hearing, right? Force the B1G to take action against other teams or show that they are biased in handing out punishment.

I’ve seen it. If you were paying attention, you’ve seen it too. I’m referring to our plays and signs that were supposedly given to Purdue before the BTCG. It’s incumbent upon Michigan to prove that is real. If we can do that, that’s the nuclear option. The conference is blown to smithereens.

Not only show it in court, but release it publicly and demand suspensions of any head coach, regardless of probable knowledge, based on the “head of program” standard that Peititi’s invented (the real absurdity of this ruling is that it opens Pandora’s box for any entity to release dirt and then call for head coaching suspensions).

If the TRO is granted next week, the Regents should pass a resolution  of no confidence in Petiti and instruct Ono to call for a meeting of the presidents counsel, where he’s empowered to deliver the message that they need to make a choice between him or us.
