Nice informative subject.....
Anyway, I thought TTU was the major competition for his services now, not OU.

he had on OU offer? I had always read conflicting stories. but thats nice that it leaves it to us and Texas Tech.

Lubbock or Ann Arbor? Now there's a toughie. But weirder things have happened.

Even if Graves didn't choose UofM, I wouldn't read too much into it. He's a southern kid. I'm sure its a tough decision to make as it will be difficult for his family to see him play in person if he chooses Michigan. Texas Tech would be a bit closer to home for him.

Yeah thats like saying "Tulsa or Ann Arbor?" Haha what a joke. Hey, Wait a minute.

to Texas Tech, he's pretty much guaranteed to play for a team where he doesn't have to worry about bailing out the offense.

Grades?? Depth chart??
January 31st, 2009 at 8:39 PM ^
There aren't grade issues and he hasn't really chosen a school yet.

Rivals suggests that Graves decided not to visit Oklahoma this weekend (which he was supposed to do). When he decided not to visit, Oklahoma pulled the offer.

Really, we need this kid if only to restock on bizarro names. We've lost too many this year.

the female talent there is far superior to aa..

Don't know, just sayin
February 1st, 2009 at 10:22 AM ^
The implication I get from Rivals is that he decided not to go on his official visit this weekend, and the offer-pull was a reaction to that. In other words - Oklahoma feels like he's either going to TT or UM, and have decided to offer his slot to someone else.

They may have firm commitments from three to five kids with equivalent or better talent at whatever position Graves plays. Which I should remember, as much as I read this damn blog, but I don't. The point being that with current scholarship limitations no one can stockpile players the way they used to.

if Oklahoma just didn't decide to offer based on talent, then in an ideal situation the answer would be "probably, since he seems like a pretty good prospect anyway". Michigan's depth chart next year is far from ideal, so the answer is "absolutely."

Someone posted that Graves might have an "issue" with qualifying due to grades. Anyone know if this is an issue with him?
February 1st, 2009 at 11:15 AM ^
The only "issue" I heard about is a family one that they say could prompt him to stay closer to home. I haven't heard grades as an issue.

I wonder what made Pearlie cool on Tennessee (if the UM/TT things are true)? He was all about Tennessee and his "nice hostess" after than visit. Even said they were his leader.
Hopefully the fading enjoyment is a good omen for Sam Montgomery and DeQuinta Jones.

I thought Pearlie's UT visit was this weekend?
February 1st, 2009 at 11:35 AM ^
I think your thinking of Jones. He drove there for a visit this weekend.
