Gallon's eligibility in question by Rivals?
Rivals has a list of recruits who could potentially have to enroll at prep school, or junior college (Tyrik Rollison, Greg Reid for example). Gallon is on the list. Any substance to this, or will he be fine? Not sure if anyone has heard one way or another.

On the flip side, that is exactly what we heard about Spoon too. And that turned out pretty badly

but we'll see, ya know?

What do you mean? Rodriguez signed Witherspoon. Rodriguez was in place when Witherspoon was declared ineligible.

until just now on Rivals. That would suck. Gallon looks like he can impact our O right away.

I'm not sure that Gallon would be that much of an upgrade over Odoms and/or Robinson. Obviously, it would be fantastic if Gallon is eligible and can help us out, but I don't think he's going to be a superstar from day one.

Grades are pretty much why his offer list isn't all that despite being an AAA participant. When Florida, Miami, and FSU all don't offer a highly touted prospect from Florida, it's most likely grades or off the field issues. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm pretty sure his grades aren't the issue, his test scores are. He has a few more chances to get those up, too.

that those grades/test scores deter Miami, Fla St, and Fla away but not Michigan...glad to have him though.

I've heard from a couple guys within the program and/or know the program and recruiting as well as guys like TomVH and i've heard the same thing. I don't want to be a downer but his eligibility is definitely in question.

Could this be why we were in on a lot of slot guys (like Stallworth, and even Stokes) at the end?

I doubt Gallon's potential eligibility issues affected Michigan's pursuit of Stokes because Stokes plays on the outside. More likely, RR wanted to recruit at least one outside receiver for the class and really stepped up his efforts once Peace de-committed.
As for Stallworth, who knows? But that may have been a product of the coaching change; RR may have seen an open door and tried his hand.
Let's just hope that Gallon qualifies.

Gallon has always been mentioned as a guy who would have to bust his ass a bit to qualify.
