TGIF my fellow MGobloggers!!!

Hope you all are doing well and staying healthy ?.

What's in your glass/bottle/cup tonight?

My bourbon journey is getting very diverse with a dozen different bottles to choose from. Started with a dram of Russell's Reserve Private Barrell Selection from Red Wagon in metro Detroit and now chewing on a finger of ECBP B520. After that WT Rare Breed in my glass. Anyone else enjoying a little bourbon tonight. Would love to hear your favorite. ??.

As always, Go Blue ???

One Miller Lite down, more to come.  Going to throw together a little breakfast plate and settle in for some B1G ass basketball.  UDM giving Sparty all they want so far.

I’m drinking the goddam pound for pound champ .... PBR

got some Jefferson Reserve Twin Oak for later.  Also, since wife is out of town I might dip into the Glenlivet 18

Because my order of absinthe did not come in from Germany, I had to resort to 100 proof Knob Creek small batch nine-year-old bourbon. Not a bad substitute. Follow me next week for my wild, trippy, absinthe journey.

It's a 'whatever's appropriately chilled' night here.

Just finished my second (or is it my third?) Lansing Brewery Velvet Villain. Smooth and effective at 8.2%. Effective enough that I keep having to retype this. I've been on a porter/stout exploration excursion recently. So far my favorite for daily consumption is New Holland's The Poet, an Oatmeal Stout. But this Villain is pretty good.

Founders' Porter ranks highly, and is in the regular rotation.

Brought back a couple stouts from VA after visiting my daughter a month ago. Didn't compare well to our MI offerings.

Why do so many brewers of stouts and porters feel the necessity of adding coffee to their brew? A good one should have hints of coffee and chocolate without adding those flavorings, IMO. (Full disclosure: I am not a coffee drinker, so I may be biased against this trend.)
