Stay warm y’all. Kick some Hoosier ass. Go Blue!!
January 25th, 2019 at 10:16 AM ^
I was in Wiscaaaaansin (saw that on a shirt at the airport) yesterday and got to see a good snowfall. Don’t get that much here in Atlanta. When it drops below 50, people say “stay warm”
Go Blue, beat IU
January 25th, 2019 at 11:34 AM ^
And when ice is on the road in ATL, stay home because you will get hit by someone who doesn't know how to drive on it or make sure your life insurance is paid up.
January 25th, 2019 at 7:37 AM ^
Time to break out of the offensive slump.

Sabbath begins at dusk on Friday, doesn't it? You will have to turn on the television before then and leave it on until Saturday sunset. Go Blue!

Go Blue. Bang this.
January 25th, 2019 at 8:43 AM ^
Loving me some M Hockey spanks PSU this morn, and missing Tom Crean's look of frustration.
January 25th, 2019 at 8:47 AM ^
Ok Ill say it..Am very nervous about this game..As far as regular season title goes this is a make or break game..going 2 games behind MSU would almost be curtains and Bloomington is/has been one of our Houses of Horror. Given our month and half offensive slump, when you roll it all into one only one thing comes to mind.."Danger Will Robinson Danger"
January 25th, 2019 at 8:51 AM ^
Sack up and bang! We got this
January 25th, 2019 at 9:02 AM ^
Get ahold of yourself!!!
January 25th, 2019 at 9:52 AM ^
Curtains? You must be kidding me. We'll make both the big ten tourney and the big dance unless things go horribly awry, and tonight will not change that.
January 25th, 2019 at 9:58 AM ^
Curtains for a regular season title
January 25th, 2019 at 1:33 PM ^
Not making the B1G tourney would be baaadddddd

It’s National Opposite Day, MGoBloggers! Celebrate like you’re George Costanza!

January 25th, 2019 at 9:00 AM ^
I think we've gotten all of the flatness out of our system in the past week and we'll be ready for the Hoosiers.
Tonight...we hunt! Go Blue!!
January 25th, 2019 at 9:01 AM ^
Go Blue! Ready for a good banging and a beat-down of IU!!!
January 25th, 2019 at 9:27 AM ^
Happy Friday!! Now lets go shoot the lights out of Assembly Hall

Go Blue!
January 25th, 2019 at 9:52 AM ^
Bang bang! Friday is always a good day but even better when it’s gameday! Hoping for a solid win against IU to settle some of the nerves. Go blue!
January 25th, 2019 at 11:38 AM ^
Man TP, you are at least 6 days late on this post. Go Blue anyway!
January 25th, 2019 at 12:52 PM ^
been partying with xtramelanin and lost track of my calendar...
January 25th, 2019 at 9:53 AM ^
Time to regress to the mean and hit all the shots. Games at IU are always dicey.
After a long week of learning the 2018 tax law so I can help senior citizens file their taxes, I could use a good banging. Maybe not one of my best ideas to volunteer to do this, but I passed the course and got certified, so on with the show! Buy some good tax prep software, because you are going to need it.
January 25th, 2019 at 10:10 AM ^
Should actually be much easier for seniors this year since they'll be almost universally taking the standard deduction unless their medical expenses are high. The issue is the new 1040 forms that were supposed to be simplified - the summary was but then it multiplied like Octomom and they added a bunch more supporting schedules. As long as you're not dealing with pass-through entities or international issues - those fall in the "CPA and Attorney Job Security Act of 2017" category.
Best of luck. If you have any tax questions feel free to hit me up
January 25th, 2019 at 1:08 PM ^
They split the 1040 into 1040+4 schedules and moved things around, so comparing 2017 to 2018 will be a challenge for many people. Remember the post card 1040 Paul Ryan kept flashing, well, the IRS created something that looks like that with the base 1040 form.
People with kids will be challenged, because instead of claiming a simple exemption for child dependents, you now end up with a Child Tax credit, additional refundable child tax credit, and credit for other dependents. For families with undergraduate college students, itemizing tuition and fees is now replaced with the American Opportunity Credit. For those beyond their undergraduate years or just taking some classes to sharpen skills, there is the Lifetime Learning Credit.
You are right that the seniors I will be working with should be pretty straightforward, but in talking to the volunteers who have been doing this for years, they get some pretty complex situations with grandchildren as dependents, side businesses, etc.
I may contact you for help in the future, but the coordinators keep saying we'll have experts to help at the tax sites.

I guess I better get some CEUs before I do some returns this year! Beat IU!
January 25th, 2019 at 10:41 AM ^
Punching out today like:
Beat IU and be thankful we live in a world where Oladipo never completed that alley oop.
