Freep rubbing salt in Stevie Brown's wounds?

Submitted by PhillipFulmersPants on
Freep posted pics of '09 projected starters. Brown is represented by a shot of NW celebrating in the EZ. Ouch. Anyone else with me that this is a bit of a low blow? I'm rooting hard for this kid to have a good year. Not sure if it will link directly to pic, but it's number #18 in the series. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/gallery?Site=C4&Date=20090724&Catego… Also, can't the Freep look at a media guide and determine the difference between Woolfolk and Williams? Too much to ask?

... is that this has been said about Stevie every year. I've found him to be a remarkably likable guy with what he's been through / subjected to over the past few years. I mean - he was the best option we had at the position - that's why he was on the field, right? I truly hope Stevie gets it together with the change of "scenery" to the new role and lives up to the (original) hype.

They don't think Mouton is going to start at linebacker? That's strange. They also think Minor is going to kick return? I do not think he even did that at all last year.

James Jackhme is one of the guys that runs the Freep content for Michigan football, and writes a lot of the articles...particularly the inflammatory ones filled with anti UM comments. It should be noted that Jackhme attended MSU and is a huge OSU fan...with his bias...he has no business posting Michigan articles and stuff, but that is his assignment anyway.

They could have at least put a picture of him intercepting Pryor or something like that. Not looking like someone just shot his dog in the end zone. BTW isn't Schilling supposed to be switching positions on the line this year?

because I don't think the Freep does either. I'm sure their intern just grabbed the first stock photo he came across. Perhaps Woolfolk and Williams have gone Face/Off on us

...but it is also kind of totally hilarious. This won't happen once the record turns around - console yourself for now by imagining how often this sort of thing happens to Washington State fans.

Of the players that played in our back 7 (Brown, Harrison, Stewart, Warren, Trent, Ezeh, Mouton, Thompson, Cissoko) I'd take his performance last year over pretty much any of them other than Harrison and Mouton. Note: I don't consider that high praise.
