Football New Year's Resolutions?

Submitted by 1464 on

So, I'm a dork when it comes to fitness.  Let's get that out of the way.  I have to come up with creative goals to push myself to work out.  This year, I am committed to running 134 miles during the football season, for team 134.  I thought maybe some other people on the blog operated in the same fashion that I do.  Anyone else want to make a resolution?  A push-up for every yard Michigan gains?  A lap in the pool for each first down?  Run a suicide for every point scored against Michigan?  It's like the opposite of a drinking game (NTTIAWWT).  Funny how kids change this.  I used to bong a beer every time we scored.  Any takers?  If anyone is down, I'll make a thread for a post-season recap as well...

I choose for every game a different excersice for every yard each player gains, and a set of 30 for every touchdown:

Gardner: (he's going to gain soooo many yards) Jump Rope 1x per yard

Toussaint: Pushups

Gallon: Crunches

Funchess: Squats

Dileo: Front/Back balance toe touches (this better not be an underutilized excercise)

Derrick Green: Power Cleans (cause, obvs)

Jehu Chesson/DeVeon Smith: Pullups

Drake Johnson: Leg curls (cause he fast)

Fullback Yards: Bicep Curls

Other Running Backs: high jumps

Other TEs/WRs: planks: 1second per yard.

Just moved halfway across the country for my first teaching job. I have two resolutions for this season

1. Catch every game on tv.

2. Walk or bike places as much as possible, and use the money saved on gas to buy bowl tickets.

...that said...that is awesome as I am also a gym rat and one sometimes needs that extra motivation when the weather changes towards the later part of the football season. I am in...I ran 5 miles this morning...does that count because I did not see this post until afterwards?
