I think the NCAA just privatized the camps. There is a great demand, so they will go on in some form. If they are not school or NCAA sponsored, what can they do? Have it called a "conference" - sign some books/photos for Alumni, have high school QB clinics, etc. (have alumni clinics too) - you allow high school athletes in for free.

More likely we'll just have more SMSB scenarios like Brian outlined in his post. Camps will pop up all over the country that coaches can volunteer at to their heart's content without sponsoring them.
