Equipment: Michigan to sport Mantraflage cleats in 2015

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

I've been sitting on this for awhile now, so I figure I'd post an equipment update since spring practice has started.

In 2015, Michigan will sport the new adidas CrazyQuick 5.0 cleats. One of the version they will wear are the Mantraflagfe cleats. They'll look something like this but will obviously have 6 words relevant to Michigan like "Victors, Valiant" on them and will be in Maize and Blue.

Here is what Miami's will look like. These were released when Miami announced that they were signing with adidas.

and I mean nothing, ever comes back from uniforms and equipment. That is like the Dead Letter Office at the Customs House in lower Manahatta where Bartleby the Scrivener used to work. If you try to follow up and they act all chipper and suggest you mosey over there yourself? One word: DO NOT GO.

I don't care about shoes.  If there is one piece of equipment where function is greater than form, it's cleats.  They could look like clown shoes for all I care as long as they are comfortable and give the players the traction they need.

Jerseys, helmet design, etc are purely "form" and deserve to be ridiculed when they look dumb.

Since WD failed to show what the cleats really are gonna look like and only could provide a picture of Miami's (YTM) version.  A simple google search and YOU TOO can have insider info like WD and be PERFECT.

I just out Devotee'd WD.  There's a new equipment expert in town!

Personally, I want the team's traditional uniform, right down to the shoes. For that matter, I don't even want the Nike, Adidas, or any other kind of logo on the uniform. The uniform should signify Michigan, and nothing else.

As far as the shoes go, old school. Basic black.

I think they will get the uniforms correct next year and everyone will be happy. Just wish we could have avoided Adidas in the first place.
