I have a hard time believing a 20 something y.o University of Michigan student can't determine who the boos were aimed at. If you have to take an "us vs the world" type of approach for motivation, then so be it. But don't make it seem like the fans weren't in full support of the players. We're just not supporting mediocrity from the staff, and as someone who I would hope doesn't want to be mediocre, he should understand.

Not bad for $5. Much better alternative than Pizza Hut, Dominoes, etc.
Jets BBQ Chicken, well done FTW though.

I don't condone BEATING women in any way shape or form, but I also don't condone absolving responsibility just because of someone's gender(if she is indeed the aggressor). I am not aware of the particulars of this exact case, so I won't speak on this incident, but the incident with the other FSU player should be thrown out in a court of law, really the only court that matters IMO.
Also, not holding women accountable is unproductive and damaging, as it has led to the unbalanced culture we live in today; in regards to domestic issues. It only further perpetuates the behavior.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||you had to have known you||
you had to have known you were going to get bombarded by those who, oddly, feel like women shouldn't be held accountable for their actions just like everyone else. It's almost as if people think women lack the mental capacity. She's a big girl. it's ok. Seen my fair share of domestic violence cases where the woman is overwhelmingly the aggressor with no remorse (throwing glass, slicing, etc); for the simple fact she knows no one is going to believe the man. Witness them lie to police about what exactly went on, etc. But let these "men" here on mgoblog tell it, you're not a REAL MAN if you defend yourself. Keep letting women play with your minds all you want.

Michigan's true "maize" is #FFCB05, considerably closer to Nike's "maize"
why Michigan continues to allow Adidas to use w/e color they want to is mind boggling.

I have a strong dislike for that star that goes all the way back to my PAL days lol, but that is the silliest rule in all of sports. catch.

"to root" is a strong sentiment. Never will I cheer them on, but I'm not against them winning the NC as that will only lead to an even more enjoyable experience once we beat them next year.

If Hoke is still here next year, it only confirms my notion that this entire program is content with being mediocre, which I am not; therefore forcing me to place my fan card on temporary leave.

Hoke lost me after the ND game this year.
Unfortunately, Michigan as a program is going to lose me entirely; depending on the outcome of the upcoming coaching search.

Not trying to read too much into it but this is disheartening. I'm starting to think I've been rooting for a program that doesn't even want to succeed.
This next hire will determine whether I continue to support this program or not.

was all for Gruden during the last coaching search and I'm all for him now, that is if we don't get one of the Harbaughs. Gruden is a beast. He would definitely instill some toughness into the players.

|1 year 22 weeks ago||we're clearly from two||
we're clearly from two different worlds my friend. I have heard/seen my fair share of domestic violence stories. and where I'm from majority of the time the WOMAN is the aggressor. ie; throwing glass that shatters in the mans face; slicing his wrist with a knife; etc, AS the man is attempting to walk away . yet and still some feel he is supposed to be a REAL MAN and walk away. lol spare me. With that being said, Not for one second will i AUTOMATICALLY take her side.
I am not labeling this man a "woman beater" because of this incident. Did he beat her cuz she didn't want to go out, he beat her because his food wasn't properly prepared, did he beat her because she turned the tv up too loud??
The people passing judgement based on a short video showing NO violence are ridicoulous.

“You’re getting too many guys that have Plan B’s,” Foote added. “You want to build your team with guys that don’t have Plan B’s. Your best students are not your best players.”
"...desperate to succeed on the football field"
You may have read wrong. Seems to me he's speaking about academics and kids who play with a chip on the field; as I was referring to in my post. He refers to the kids in the inner city as desperate in comparison to those kids not from the inner city as having plan b's and being the best students. Plan B = guarenteed degree/success from already high academic showing = lack of motivation/toughness/agression/passion on the field. The player's mind is elsewhere. In his opinion.
With Foote going to a HS in my neighborhood, ironically, I think I have a full understanding of what he means.
He's saying we need some monsters, on the field, essentially lol.
|1 year 24 weeks ago||A plan B in this case is;||
A plan B in this case is; ANOTHER way out. Take that player he's speaking of from the inner city and couple that with the fact that playing Collegiate ball may be his ONLY way OUT. He's going to play the game with so much passion and tenacity, because this is ALL he has.
Granted, recieving a degree from Michigan would suffice as a hell of a plan B. But we don't even give certain players the opportunity.
If there is such a family atmosphere at Michigan, why not take a chance on an "AT RISK" player, who meets the NCAA guidelines, but is a hell of a football player?
17-18 is still a child. Michigan's "family" atmosphere should be able to mold and groom the kid to be a better person. I mean isn't that the purpose of a family after all. To be a support system.
but maybe not, THIS IS MICHIGAN FERGODSAKES

|1 year 24 weeks ago||i guess I'll clear the whole||
i guess I'll clear the whole "ghetto" thing up. Since I am FROM the "ghetto" and have experienced things many of you couldn't fathom. Many of those experiences make you tougher, more aggresive in different facets of life.
It's a toughness thing. I will agree that it depends on the individual more than anything. However, you're more likely to find that type of tough, aggressive player in the "ghetto".
We just need to play with aggression.
