EM Top 150 Wing Jalen Bridges Update - Michigan Will Be In Tomorrow

Jalen Bridges just confirmed that Michigan will conduct a home/school visit with him tomorrow. He's certainly one of my leaders for most undervalued prospect in the country heading into the Summer. Mainstream sites have him at the 175-225 range, he's likely going to be a 75-125 type for me.

Here's my most recent piece with Bridges.

Jalen has a lot of similarities to Danny Green in terms of his shot mechanics, body type and playing style. That's the exact type of role I'd see for him in college and potentially beyond as well.

I like this kid. Kinda gives me Isaiah Livers vibes. At the same time his highlights kinda confuse me. In some of them he looks like a pretty good athlete who can slam it home on a fast break, but in other clips he looks like a sub par athlete, who seems kinda passive, and is a just-a-shooter type

Rule #1 for evaluation for me in terms of athleticism is don't be deceived by run and jump athletes (I.E. a wide open dunk in transition), as most Division I caliber prospects will look good in that setting. Quick twitch explosion (I.E. the ability to raise up without a running start/absorb contact/maintain body control) in a half court setting is much more indicative of functional athleticism.

With regard to Bridges, he's an average-ish athlete, certainly not good by any means, but not horrible. He projects as a 3&D type player with some shot creating ability against mismatches. I really like his ability to shoot at that size. One of the quickest releases I've viewed live this year, his mechanics are great.........no unnecessary motion.
