Elite 11 on Gardner
Gardner's familiarity with the drills was obvious even at the NIKE Camp, according to Biggins. By the time he arrived in California for the Elite 11, the stage was set for Gardner to put on a show. When all was said and done, he had etched his name next to the great dual-threat quarterbacks who had previously showed their stuff at the Elite 11.
"We've had Tim Tebow, Juice Williams, Dennis Dixon and I would say he is a lot more polished than a lot of those guys," Biggins said. "He maybe does not have the pure arm strength as a Juice Williams or be as refined as Dennis was, but he definitely throws a lot better than Tebow did at the same [stage]. I would say he stacks up very well with just about anybody we've had who can do the running and throwing."
Link?
