Early Look at 2010 Recruitng - QBs; Repeat Link for those more active to the site than myself

I apologize if any or all of this information has been posted already. I have not seen it anywhere and I do not think it was in the "has devin gardner really dropped OSU" post. To answer that question: YEP, here is a link that looks at him as well as four other prospects for MI's recruiting class of 2010. Any chance we actually land 2 of these kids as the ever trustworthy free press reports we are trying to do? http://www.freep.com/article/20090218/SPORTS06/90217090/?imw=Y

For me, I honestly don't care who we get for QB in this class. I have a lot of faith in Tate to be starter for next few years. I'm not saying don't get a QB, but I don't care if its a 2-3 star QB. Whoever the QB we get in this class is, will have A LOT of time to get ready and master the play book. Get a 2-3 star QB or best available. If he is backup for 3 years then when its his time to shine, then say he loses the job to an incoming freshmen. It says how good that freshmen is in future eh?

Even assuming that both Forcier and Robinson live up to expectations, Michigan has two legitimate quarterbacks on scholarship right now. TWO. QBs in spread offense are more prone to injuries than traditional Qbs. If Forcier and/or Robison gets injured, Michigan needs a viable QB to take the reins -- not some 2-3 star flier. RR wants to breed competition, and virtually every team wants at least 3 good QBs on scholarship. If Tate is as good as you say, he leaves in three years. A 2010 QB could therefore potentially start in 2012. And two years on the bench (at least) is the traditional learning curve for a college QB. It just seems awfully short-sighted to say that RR can afford to let the QB situation slide for a year, especially since we do not know how effective Forcier/Robinson will be.
