Love this young Wings team.  Happy to see Larkin get his first hat trick in the NHL.  Shocked that this is his 7th season already.  LET'S GO RED WINGS!!

Yeah, it's hard to believe this is only his first one.  He's played pretty well this season and I feel like he's coming into his own as a leader.  Raymond and Seider lookin' like genius level picks this year as well thanks to Stevie Y.

Bright future for the Wings!

Also an assist by Larkin in addition to his hat trick, a very nice 4-point game by our captain.

Most importantly, though, the Red Wings won.  They're no longer a doormat to the rest of the NHL, but they're also still very susceptible to some really bad defensive games, just not tonight.

At least with them and the Tigers, 2 Detroit pro franchises are showing us a ray of hope for the near future.

Congrats Dylan, heck of a game tonight!

The OSU game this year reminded me a lot of the March 26, 1997 (10 year anniversary of my father's death) Wing's vs Colorado game. After getting Swept by the Devils and losing to Colorado after winning the President's Cup...started to think the Wings were never going to win a Cup again. That night, something special...I believed again. It was renewed hope. Obviously, they went on to win two straight Stanley's. That was the night they out-bullied the bully. The Russian Five documentary is MUST SEE television.

Beating OSU the way they did showed character, and I'm hopeful. If Michigan can take down the SEC, we may have another masterpiece to watch in the near future :)

They're a pretty great home team (currently have the 4th highest win% at home), but that road record is pretty rough. Though it's still a very young team, so I wasn't expecting Cup contenders exactly. Love this team, they're incredibly fun to watch, especially when things are clicking.

The Wings just need to get some consistancy on the road. They tend to play great at home and then just have stinkers on the road. I do love this team, though. The top line of Larkin, Bert and Raymond has to be one of the top lines in the league. Seider has been a joy to watch on the blue line. I was recently at Yost and LCA and was able to watch both Power and Seider. Both are very similar. Large guys on the blue line who are just silky smooth with the puck.

Yzerman will keep this team competitive for years.
