He’s deciding between Michigan, MSU, PSU, and Kentucky. In an interview with Sam Webb he says he’s speeding up his timeline because it looks like 2021 recruits won’t be allowed to visit schools anytime soon and he wants to get the process over with and not waste his or other schools time. No date given but in the interview he says within the next 2-3 weeks which is good news for Michigan because as of right now Michigan looks to be in pole position.

If Michigan lands Benny, this may also give an idea of what’s DT George Rooks is thinking about doing - namely does he want to be in a class with Benny and other DL recruits we have or does he want to go to PSU where they have only one other DL recruit for this class.

If Rooks is scared to compete with Dominic Giudice I'm not sure if we really want him. Especially since it would be just the 3 of them in the class.

I couldn’t imagine being a recruit in this situation. Calls, texts, emails, letters, zoom calls, etc. Having to answer the same questions from prospective college coaches, your high school coaches, parents, friends, recruiting media, etc. And you never get a chance to meet the coaches and future team mates in person. Don’t get to see where you will spend the next 3-5 years of your life in person.

It's Michigan.

Have to close though. Even moreso with Edwards (who I think is Blue).

After that, they have to work to get Rooks.

And there is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be all over the King twins from Cass Tech. We need CBs and lost Phinney so another LB.

QB and DT are the most important positions in college football.  There also seems to be an enormous drop off from the top 3-5 QBs in college football every year compared to the rest, as well the top 3-5 D-lines in college football (anchored by elite DT play) compared with the rest.

Bama used to be the exception to the rule in terms of needing elite QB compete, but I think they have been punished for this in recent years vs. Clemson, A&M, LSU, Auburn etc. and now focus on getting as much as possible out of the QB position (helps to have 4 NFL receivers every year).

We've had some good DT years and some bad DT years.  We haven't caught elite QB play once during the Harbaugh era, and it has cost us probably 2 or 3 CFB Playoff experiences.
