Discussions of Wierd and Far Out Big 10 Expansion Plans with No Basis in Reality from Brian's Own Mouth

Soooo...I was reading one of the side links where Brian writes over at TSB and he finished his article with this "its never going to happen so I might as well say it to make you laugh" tid bits: "After all this, the Big Ten will add the University of Toronto and nothing will happen to anyone else." As someone from Ontario who knows something about Canadian College Football, my first thought was, "WTF...UofT...they almost cancelled their football program a couple of years ago." Then, being from London, the home of the University of Western Ontario [where my son will be starting pre-med in th fall...my parent brag moment] where there is actually a good med school, a world class business school and in the realm of Canadian College Football, they actually have a half decent football team. Greg Marshall, the Mustangs head coach, is a former CFL head coach, and has done good things with the program. Are we Big Ten ready, in terms of academics, yes...football...not so much. But there are people here who have actually heard of the Big Ten, and our hockey team plays exhibition games with Michigan. Hey, its Sunday and I am drinking wine. Just the thought of being able to drive 5 minutes to see a Big Ten anything has my internal fantasy machine going at full tilt. [btw...say what you want about Canadian College Football...at least we have a playoff]
