Great news! I actually kind of dig this reset of expectations, where I'm excited when they win awards, not expecting them to win so I'm disappointed if they don't. A bit refreshing, a silver lining if you will.

They both deserve it. Juwan's got this team rounding into form. I'm amazed how much better they're playing after their covid pause. I truly expected them to come out flat.

I like that the team is starting to get kind of scrappy, and annoying on D. Last years team was great at batting the ball away, and youre seeing that more and more this year.

Very impressive, and let's hope this is a turning point for the team and the season overall.
On that topic, does someone more knowledgeable than I care to conjecture what this team would need to do from here on out to keep the tourney streak alive?

Finish 8-4 with no makeup games or 9-5 with.
Beat MSU and Purdue once each and no more bad losses.
edit: gonna be tough though if the home games against MSU and Purdue dont get rescheduled

I have not watched any college BBALL outside of every UM game. Are Purdue and MSU beatable? Unbeatable? good?

Both very good, but both beatable - IU took down Purdue last week, and MSU lost to Northwestern at home. I think the B1G is very middle-heavy with quality. Not sure if anyone can challenge for the NCAA Championship, but there a lot of really good teams.

8-4 would likely do it for sure, 8-4 with a win in the first game of the big ten tourney would be a lock. Anything less than 8-4 is going to be hold onto your butts or need to win the big ten tourney.
Given its still a young team that is more than likely to drop a stupid game they shouldn't my prediction for the season would be 7-5 and a run to the tourney semifinals is the most likely way into the tournament.
If I was betting money I would probably bet against Michigan making the tourney at this point. Team just isn't going to be consistent enough this year to not drop a couple of games against the Iowa/Wisconsin/OSU's of the conference.

Has there been any news about the rescheduling of those games? All I have been able to see is that they were "postponed" which implies they will be played later. I keep checking to see if they show up as "cancelled".

Both well deserved! Hopefully they have turned a corner. They are definitely playing much better now than they did earlier in the season.

It was a great treat to see the whole team dominate yesterday in Indiana..on the road...and get a high quad 1 win. Let's hope this team is starting to ascend and plays their best ball in March.
