Denard, post-game interview

Submitted by maizenbluedevil on

I just have to say how continually impressed I am with Denard.

He was so humble in the post-game interview, and so geniunely happy and delighted about the win, and when the reporter told him to go enjoy the victory, the way he said, "Thank you, alright!" just had so much sincerity and humility in his voice.  It was almost as if the magnitude of what he had achieved on the field today had just begun to sink in for him at that exact moment.  Seeing that was cool.  And he had no arrogance or pretension whatsoever. What a great moment for the kid, and for the team.  The fact that he worked hard, made improvements in the offseason, and that paid off for him in such dramatic fashion today....  just exemplifies everything that is truly good about collegiate athletics.

He just seems like a really good kid, I'm proud that he wears maize and blue!!

At the end Don Shane (interviewer) told Denard that he tried to catch him on the field to interview him and that he blew right by him. He told Denard that next time he sees him, he's going to have to stop for a couple seconds. Good luck with that Don!

This kid has earned the success he had on the field today. He's done everything right: he worked hard in the offseason; he improved his knowledge of the offense; he made dramatic gains in his passing; he earned his teammates respect; he's seems like an incredibly humble, good-natured person. He put it all out there for Michigan today and was amazing. Every Michigan fan should be proud to have a player like Denard Robinson lead the team out on the field.
