Demetrius Jackson Picks Up a Michigan Offer
Following up my post from yesterday, Michigan offered a scholarship to Demetrius Jackson during his visit today. From Jackson's twitter feed:

@D_Jay24 Demetrius JacksonCoach @bacari34 had me crackin up the whole Michigan visit. Really enjoyed it! Just got my 2nd scholarship offer! Gonna keep working hard!!
So Beilein now has offers out to three 2013 point guards (Jackson, Monte Morris, and Derrick Walton), as well as another to 2012 prospect Sherron Dorsey-Walker, who is also being recruited as a point guard. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
...gets the spot.
From my understanding the PG situation looks like this:
1A: Monte Morris
1B: Demetrius Jackson, Derrick Walton.
They're all good players though, they will probably all end up in the top 100 by there senior years.
They kind of already are per Rivals. Jackson is 71 and Walton is 88. Morris is "blowing up" and has looked the most promising of the three this summer so he is expected to jump ahead of them in the top 100 in the next update.
True, I meant more of a consensus top 100 on all the 3 major recruiting sites but you makes a good point.
Based on a little more research, it seems like Notre Dame could be the team to beat for Jackson, although he doesn't yet have an offer from them. (Xavier is his only other offer right now.) ND's coach, Mike Brey, has been recruiting him since the beginning of his freshman year, and Jackson is originally from South Bend. He moved to Mishawaka, Ind., prior to starting high school.
It seems like Monte Morris is the most likely of the 2013 point guards to commit to Michigan, but perhaps Dorsey-Walker will jump at the chance to play point guard and take that spot away from the 2013 trio.
EDIT: This was news to me, but it turns out Mishawaka is a twin city to South Bend, so Jackson still lives very close to Notre Dame.
Chris Balas article (a free Rivals article) says Northwestern is getting more involved recruiting Monte Morris and that Morris might visit Notre Dame in August. Balas also says that Derrick Walton has U-M no. 1 right now:
Walton told us this week he'd enjoyed a recent visit to Notre Dame, but U-M remains his favorite.
"I plan on deciding in August, and I don't have any visits set up," he said. "Notre Dame compared fair, but just because I have Michigan as my no. 1 school right now—that was the edge."
I get Derrick Walton and Demetrius Jackson confused with one another. Does anyone have a scouting report or something on who's the best of the points we're recruiting.
scouting report based on Michigan Elite Camp a few weeks ago.

Derrick Walton is more of a true PG, but Demetrius Jackson offers more of a long term potential due to his athleticism/quickness. Monte Morris was the best of the bunch at camp and is underrated by recruiting services.
I'd be happy with any one of these point guards.
I personally want Walton in this 2013 class. I think he is the best of the bunch and people are really over-hyping Morris a bit too much after maybe barely out-playing Walton a couple times. Walton has a much better overall game, and his passing is simply magnificent. I would be happy with Walton or Morris, but don't get swayed too much by UMHoops. I don't think he ever meant to create the hype machine behind Morris that now exists. Sherron Dorsey-Walker also looked very good recently in some AAU videos, so I would be pleased with him as well, I'm just not sure he is well-suited for the 1.
