On this day in history.....

2,177 separate threads were created on MgoBlog to mock Michigan State athletics thereby breaking the old record of 1,958 threads created to bitch about Michigan football following the latest OSU game debacle.

Hmmm, not a good week for MSU, but they're just coming off a basketball season where they won the big ten and made it to the Final 4.    They won't be nearly as high of a seed as they thought going into the tourney this March, but we've seen them go far in the tourney where that part doesn't matter.

Another (albiet small) benefit to Michigan in all this a Cincy-based Luke Fickell perhaps grabbing a pretty good Ohio recruit or two that would've otherwise headed to a rival B10 school like MSU or PSU.  Although its unlikely Fickell stays in Cincy for the super long term, maybe there's a Jim Carrey-esque "So you're saying there's a chance" of Cincy actually competing with OSU for a kid or two and diluting the death machine.

The cuture finally bit them. Always wondered who still let their kids go there after this national revelation started.

All of my investments (college edu exempt) are younger than that... BluRay technology is younger than that...Bluetooth technology is younger than that... Wi-Fi technology is younger than that... smart phones are younger than that... Intel 'Core' processors are younger than that

Yet here we are, bragging as if M sports are something great! lmao
