The Dagger on Beilein's Ethic Committee

He does say to give the benefit of the doubt, but it seems like he takes a normal coach-speak quote to mean more than it does: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/blog/the_dagger/post/Someone-pl…-?urn=ncaab,183607 I think we all know the problems surrounding college basketball, and Beilein was just trying to say that they don't know what to focus on right now.

There are so many issues facing college b-ball recruiting that it is kind of a monumental task to decide where to begin. Personally, I think lobbying for much stricter penalties for coaches and schools that violate rules would be a great place to start.

If the coaches on the ethics committee had any street savvy, they would recommend a lot of restrictions on recruiting so that they could get a day off once in awhile. It's like they work 24/7/365 at this point; that has to burn them out eventually.
