That would be a clear violation of the gentlemen's agreement between Big Ten coaches.

he is a 3 star DE from Cincinnati who is 6'5" 205 lb. incase you had no idea who he was, because I didn't

Just looked him up. There are two L's in Cornellius. He is the first listed three star DE on both scout and rivals (WDE).

Rival's has one L, for the record. Where are you looking?

Where's the link? Scout shows him as still committed to Illinois.

I am guessing the Illini suggested that they part ways because of his academic issues. I guess we, on the other hand, have the space in this class to save him a schollie if he works the grades out.

If we're picking up the kids the Zooker's too principled to take, then maybe there's a problem... I hope we don't get him, because that means we can't get anybody who doesn't bear a risk of not qualifying.

Looking at his profile on Rivals, he shows no interest to any schools...
February 3rd, 2009 at 12:29 PM ^
This seems like a meaningless post. Just because he's no longer an Illinois commit doesn't mean he's got Michigan's interest, right? Or am I missing something.
February 3rd, 2009 at 12:35 PM ^
He holds an offer from Michigan, and his previous visit before Illinois (1/23) was Michigan (1/16). According to Rivals, those are his only two visits.
It's possible he goes to a smaller school willing to take a chance, to a prep school or community college, but if Michigan has 22 or 23 commits in the class, they might be willing to take a flier on him. The visit and offer suggests at least fairly serious interest.

He had a visit listed for 1/16, but I don't think that visit ever took place. He has been to Michigan before, but only unofficially. His problem has always been grades, and I think he is headed for prep school or a junior college. He's a good prospect, but I don't anticipate him being a Wolverine.

Michigan was interested earlier, but there were rumors of severe grade issues. If he's still out there after signing day and Michigan has an open scholaraship he might be a possibility.

maybe he will be the new F-lion - who tried and tried and tried to get on the field at M only to blow it once he made it there.

Article from ESPN http://myespn.go.com/blogs/bigten/0-2-1212/Illini-lose-Carradine--Michi…
saying that Carradine might choose Michigan. Espn has him rated as 80 which is equivalent to 4 stars. This would be a nice pickup if he could get his grades straight.
