Consistency all season: Most allowed by D: 24, fewest scored by O: 24

Both sides of the ball have been amazingly consistent this year.  Highest the Defense ever gave up was 24 (OSU and Maryland), and the lowest the Offense ever scored was 24 (Penn State).

That means, theoretically, even against a team of the best defensive unit and best offensive unit we faced all season, it would go into OT.

Quick check, looks like Georgia didn't manage this in the last 3 years, because of losses to Alabama, and in 2022 scoring only 16 against Kentucky, and giving up 30 to LSU.  2019 LSU didn't manage it either (note: only undefeated teams could claim such a thing).

Meaningless stat, but fun.

I had a good feeling when I saw a stat showing our average margin of victory was around 25 points and Washington’s was around 13. It’s not like we inflated our stats beating up 3 weak nonconference teams. They were weak, but we let off the gas and won like 30-3. It was just consistent boa constrictor games all season. OSU, PSU and Bama were close, but those are top 10 teams. (-ish for PSU.)

Incredible we never had the one stylistic mismatch that tripped us up all season. No running QB that picked us apart, no passing attack that shredded our man to man scheme. This team was so well rounded and resilient. No one was a superstar, but there were no weaknesses and scheme wise they were definitely designed for a championship run where you have to face every kind of team.

Not sure if this is true, but I like it so I am repeating it...

Fun fact: Michigan is the first team since 1902 to hold every opponent to under 25 points

Win the game.  But it sure is easier to win if you tend to always score more and they always tend to score less.

My highschool had an undefeated, unscored upon championship team.  Seems like a good goal for next year.

late to this one, but one of the michigan players texted one of our (high school) coaches telling him that michigan is the first team to hold all of its opponents under 25 points since minnesota in 1903.  wow.
