College Football Risk Day 2 - Goodnight D'antoni

Submitted by Michigan CFB R… on March 24th, 2020 at 7:02 AM

We won every single possible territory yesterday and eliminated MSU in the process! Notre Dame barely escaped elimination after successfully retreating to Purdue. Overall the first day saw 73 teams get eliminated. The leaderboard has us in 3rd place with 6 territories, OSU is in 2nd place with 7, and Nebraska in 1st at 8. Yesterday we had the most players out of all of the teams at 393, but are looking to keep growing that number with the support of everyone on here. Last round we peaked at about 1200 players. An updated map is below with repeated details and useful information for those new to the game.

College Football Risk is officially back! Some of you may remember this game from the spring/summer of 2018. It has been brought back as an independently run game separate from the /r/cfb subreddit. A brief description of how the game works is below for those that aren’t familiar. For those that are familiar, we strongly encourage the use of the assignment system on Michigancfbrisk.com.

What is College Football Risk?

College Football Risk is a continuation of a popular CFB Risk game run by r/CFB in the Spring and Summer of 2018. It is an MMO-style game where college football fanbases compete for control of a fictionalized map of the United States. The goal is to control as much territory as possible for ultimate domination of the map.

How Does the Game Work?

On turn 1, each team starts with their home territory. It is up to each team to recruit players and coordinate moves. You can choose to defend any territory that your team currently holds or attack any adjacent territory. A "roll" happens each evening at 11 PM EST to calculate which teams have won which territories that turn based on the moves that were made by individual players. The ultimate goal is to conquer as much of the map as possible for your team. There are a number of different ways to do this, such as through recruiting players in sheer numbers or forming alliances with other teams.

The fight against OSU is going to be tough.  I can see them and Wisconsin ganging up on us from the north and south.

We need more people to sign up!  The earlier you sign up and play, the more star-power you gain later on in the game, and the more your attacks/defends are worth.

It's super easy to sign up.  Making a reddit account takes about 20 seconds, and getting/executing your orders takes another 20 seconds every day.  DO IT!
