IMO it isn't as much of a need as many people think. We have three top-200 freshmen on bench behind Vincent Gray. I'm curious if our next DC will be more willing to give younger and more talented players chances, knowing that there will be bumps along the way.

Perry, Seldon and who else? Green-Warren seems destined for S in my mind, not athletic enough for CB.

People often mistake current weak spots as “positions of need,” when in reality we just need the young guys we already have to grow and develop.
Recruiting is done to fill holes you will have 2-3 years down the line, not holes you have right NOW, as previous classes should be addressing the holes. Corner is a weak spot now because we were hit pretty hard by the transfer portal and CoVid opt outs. Where guys like Ambry, St. Juste and Myles Sims would be here either starting or vying for playing time as upperclassmen.
As you said, we have a few highly touted guys waiting in the wings that just might not be ready yet.
