because we rarely get access none of us know the Inside the lockerroom and weight room leadership Vastardis displays.

Captains are voted on by the team so he must be a good leader even if not the most talented.

hope he has an outstanding season

No surprises here. We know the coaches love Vastardis.

I'm just hoping there is good leadership across both sides of the ball. It seems to have been an issue for Michigan for a long time now. Encouraged by the reports of Cade stepping up.

Congrat's Captains, go lead your team.

Do the coaches select the captains or do the players?

• Four-Time Academic All-Big Ten honoree (2017-18-19-20)
• Four-year letterman (2017-18-19-20)
• Voted a Team Captain by his teammates (2020)

He's a smart guy. His teammates voted him captain already. This should not be a surprise.

I believe it has been shared in the past that Harbaugh tries to influence who gets picked as captains even though the players do the actual voting.

There were also issues with naming Captains during Hoke's & RichRod's time, although each year that passes I try to forget details from this period.
