Camping World Bowl (Tangerine Bowl?)

Orange vs Mountaineers. I found out that this rivalry used to have a trophy in the Big East (Ben Schwartzwalder Trophy). Syracuse didn't want to bring the trophy to this bowl or the Pinstripe Bowl back in 2011. God forbid the games have any stakes, even a cool troohy without a sponsorship plastered on it.

Get rid of corporate bowl games!

Camping World Bowl will be the Coleman Bowl or something in a couple years. Really adds to the failing bowl system when bowls have multiple stupid names in several years. Michigan played in the “Cheez It Bowl” in 2013. We might forget because since it’s been the Motel 6 Bowl and Cactus Bowl before being the Cheez It Bowl.

There should be less bowls, with actual bowl names played in certain cities. This will at least create continuity year to year. Because no fan base is excited about playing in the Redbox Bowl that soon will be the Netflix Bowl or the Amazon Prime Bowl.

Keep the bowl games but make them playoff games!  Play 10 games in regular season.  Seed teams right after regular season.  Give a double bye to top 4 teams.  Make all the bowl games count for something. And the ones that don't count for anything, eliminate.

Top 36 teams make playoff.

16 games 2 weeks after season end.  Then 8 games. Then 4 games vs top 4 bye teams.

Solves all the problems.  Bowl games mean something. Attendance and viewership greatly increases.  The top 4 get a double bye and guaranteed semi-final.  Non power 5 conference teams get in.  Money would be flowing...

The Pinstripe Bowl asked the schools to not play for the trophy to not overshadow the Bowl trophy.  The Camping World Bowl did the same thing.

Why post something you obviously don’t know the background of?

Relax killer. Just thought it was a cool little tidbit to add to a random bowl thread. Hope your day gets better.

After looking at your post history, looks like you're just a cuse alum who thought I was trying to shit on the Orange. I swear on Jim Boeheim's honor that it wasn't my intention to bismerch the rich football history of your school.

Is Marcus Lemonis (CEO of Camping World and star of the CNBC reality series "The Profit") there? Maybe they are shooting an episode of his show during the game where he offers $400K for a 51% ownership stake of the losing team after the game. He could then take over next season where he would certainly be "100% in charge". Trust the process.
