Bye Week Content (Monday): "...if you had $1M in NIL dollars..."

We are officially on our bye week, which means that I get to create my goofy threads...that some people love and others hate (whatever, don't click, it's not like there is a crazy amount of activity this week).

You have $1M in "NIL Money"...who are you bringing back in 2024?

• Donovan Edwards: $750,000

• Rod Moore: $750,000

• Jaylen Harrell: $500,000

• Braiden McGregor: $500,000

• Jack Tuttle: $375,000

• Josiah Stewart: $375,000

• Karsen Barnhart: $250,000

• Cam Goode: $125,000

• Keshaun Harris: $125,000

(note: value is determined by NFL Draft value, not their current standing on the team - meaning, Barnhart value to Michigan as a starting tackle is worth $1M, but he's currently unlikely to get drafted high...so it shouldn't take as much to bring him back. For other players, value could be determined against the potential for them to transfer)

I want to say Edwards, but I'm conflicted because of the guys behind him (Thunder and Thunder) and the possibility that the coaches will use him like a regular feature back. Assuming JJ goes, though, it sure would be nice to give the new QB two elite check-down targets in Edwards and Loveland. So, I'll say Edwards and Barnhart and hope that next year's play-caller calls more RB screens.

If I have to pick I'm taking offense skill players, as our defense seems to roll no matter who lines up. I'm taking Edwards and giving him the lump. He can turn average plays into first downs and tds.

Can also see us being more of a run-based team next year with QB really being an unknown. You can hype up the 2/3rd string guys, but the drop-off after JJ is huge. The ideal dream is we do what ND has done, bring in a transfer who can start right away and will only be there this year. Heck, with Ewers hurt and them being stacked at QB, could you imagine if Ewers transferred here for a year after being at OSU? There are a few other names that I could see entering the portal, Klubnik out of Clemson since Clemson is imploding, Cam Ward out of WSU could want to go somewhere with more exposure, and same with Brady Cook out of Missouri. We do have Davis coming, but freshman QBs rarely do well unless they are at the top of the rankings.
