Brian, I can't view a single thread on MGoBlog. Is it just me?

Submitted by baleedat on
I would have posted this on the "Is MGoBlog working right?" thread (about 6 pages back) but I can't open it up. It use to be I couldn't open most threads, but now I can't open any...IE freezes up on me. If I'm the only guy then fine, I guess I'm shit out of luck. I can't download IE7, firefox, etc. here at work, and it probably doesn't make sense to do a bunch of work to satisfy one guy...I get it. But if there are bunch of us who are having the same problem (and I don't know how you'd know other than maybe a drop-off in hits/posts, which you'd probably just attribute to the time of year) then maybe it's worth lookin into. Anyway, this sucks and I have nothing to do at work now...except work...which really sucks. Don't bother posting anything on here directed to me because I can't view it.

I, too, have been having uncharacteristic issues with MGoBlog locking up 8/10 times when I enter the site. This is happening at work only so I have a feeling someone is trying to tell me something......However, I have never had these issues before a week ago. I know NOTHING about browsers and such and am attributing my issues to possible server changes here at work. Could this be?

the way that mgoblog is formatted on ie6 is screwy. the sidebars are fine but the content in the middle does not start until after the sidebars end, so i have to scroll way down the page if i want to read the content. i don't know if thats the same problem that y'all are getting but thats the way that it loads for me on ie6.

Why make a thread that you wouldn't be able to open up and read if the problem you have still exists?

Last month we had 46,036 visits from IE 6 on our academic website (out of 329,493). Thank God IE 5 versions are below 50 a month. Use is declining slightly but because many corporate/academic machines are locked down or unsupported, people use what they are given without options in some cases and without the knowledge that they can/should change.

I still cannot load any MGoBoard links in Opera Mini. This has been an issue on my mobile devices ever since that weekend where Brian cited server issues causing the blank white pages.
