That dude's pretty built. He could almost be a linebacker. I think he'll get in on a handful of tackles on kick-offs.

He may find himself in the slot occasionally.

Seems like he kicks it really high. That is good as it decreases the chances of the kick getting blocked

I don't know how much Barwis can do for kickers. Either our current kicker (Gingell?) has a wet noodle leg comparable to Sheridan's wet noodle arm, or RR is emphasizing hang time more than distance on kickoffs. I can only recall 2 or 3 times we've kicked into the endzone this year, with the majority of kicks landing around the 10 and returned to the 30.

I'm pretty confident that having a "strong leg" is not, literally, having a strong leg. It's more technique than muscle.

we have a thing with big kickers...garret rivas was fat as hell...and kc lopata is a big ass too

I don't care how fat they are as long as they put it through the uprights. They can be 5'4'' 330 pounds but if they can make a 45 yard field goal consistently I will take them.

Sounds like my role on my 6th grade team: kicker, punter, kick returner, punt returner, guard, DE. Must have been a reaaaaaally thin high school team.
