Oh how I hate O hi O State
The hell with ND
FY State
Yes.
Would’ve preferred Sparty but ND is definitely kryptonite.
beat ohio!
Yeah, we were definitely rooting for PSU and MSU. Now this late game is just to determine who gets fed into the Gopher's wood chipper.
Well, I’d rather have had FYS or PSU but OSU is definitely better than Notre Dame again
PSU was never an option. If they had won they were going to Minneapolis.
Werent we getting highest remaining seed? So we couldve had #6 psu if fys had won?
edit: whoops. State was the 5, not the 7. Doh
ND is boring but beatable, OSU basically kicked our ass and we got lucky to salvage some points the second series.
OSU won tonight so OSU it is. FYS is up 3-1 with 10 minutes left in the 3rd.
Nah give me OSU. ND is our kryptonite, especially at Yost.
Yeah but playing notre dame makes me want to beat my head against the wall. I hate playing them and their style of hockey
Currently rooting for..........no one
Irish get a late PPG, 3-2 Sparty. 3:23 left.
State scores an ENG from their own goal line. Looks like they're off to Minneapolis and Minnesota gets the easier option. Gophers swept them and outscored them 25-6.
With the loss tonight, ND's Pairwise sucks too much to get them in. Hooray.
FYS is in and ND is out. ND falls to 19 in PWR so they likely are done for the season.
All those upper class players and they get bounced by FYS.
All those upper class players and they get bounced by FYS.
Karma for playing 1995 New Jersey Devils era hockey.
PWR after tonight: MN #1; U-M#4; PSU #9; OSU #10; FYS #16: ND #19; Wiscy #35
FYS will need a win next weekend to make NCAA playoffs
If I lived within 5 hrs of AA I would be there Saturday. It's a bit of a haul though from Virginia. I envy any of you who are going, should be a blast!
Save up for Allentown.
Is there a possibility they'd put Denver there because Denver is higher than us, and Allentown is closer to them than Manchester? Or does it not matter once you're that far away? I'm really rooting for Allentown, which is just 1.5 hours from me!
It's the NCAA so who knows but after they rack and stack according to RPI, and deconflict for first round conference matchups, they are supposed to (I say supposed because you cannot trust the NCAA to live up to their word) consider the potential for minimizing travel when placing teams.
UNLESS your Michigan in which case you will get the Most UNDESIREABLE location
The NCAA hockey committee has been pretty good in following what they say, but they protect the overall #1 seed before the other number one seeds. Uscho's last bracketology had Minnesota in Fargo, Quinnipiac in Bridgeport, Denver in Manchester and Michigan in Allentown.
It will change this week of course.
One guy has us in Allentown. The other in Manchester.
They're trading off attendance vs closer to campus, I think. Anyway this week UM will probably be in Manchester, as BU is now the 5-seed, it makes sense to have BU in Manchester for attendance, and they don't have to change the 4-5 bracket integrity. The only way to guarantee Allentown is to be in PSU's draw and not be the overall #1 seed.
I'm assuming my Alaska Nanooks make the final 16, (sitting at 13 PWR) though they're independent. So no conference playoffs. Would love to see them in the playoffs - been years. And they have a tough goalkeep, which is the main reason they're in the mix.
Seems like it would take some very bad luck. At least including an MSU win next weekend.
Then I'm definitely rooting for the gopher wood chipper!
Children of Yost… do your thing..
Go Blue!
