Let's hear your thoughts.  They both have the talent.

I'm curious to know how/why everyone knows/assumes Funchess has attitude and work ethic issues? I am aware of his "wins and losses are just statistics" quote, and I do not blame you if you have judged the aforementioned based on that alone -- it had me pretty fired up about his character, to say the least....just wondering if I am missing something else that is blatantly obvious....please enlighten :)

Funchess no doubt. Other than some drops our main critisicm of Funch lies in the effort department. In the NFL you can't be lazy. NFL coaches will get his full potential out of him and he'll be a top 6-8 reciever in his prime. Dez, Marshall, Calvin, Cruz... All guys who drop a lot of balls. But few people care because they make big plays. Funch will probably continue to have mind numbing drops but he will also make holy shit type catches.

There have been other QBs who were unheralded as pure passers in college and who found success in NFL.

DG could switch positions - makes the most sense to play WR (like Julian Edelman or Antwan Randle-El) - he's played it before, and he is tall and rangy. Is he "cocky" enough to play that position? While not everyone who plays WR is the same, most of the top NFLers do not lack in self-confidence.

He could try to compete as a QB - here he has to be great physical shape and do great at the combine and look good at any post-season games - he has to convince people that the shellacking he took junior and senior years doesn't reflect his true capabilities.

I wish him the very best, because if he does become a success in the NFL you know he'd be a regular coming back to Ann Arbor and talking up the place.

Funch - My wild guess is 3rd round.  I don't expect that much from him in the pros.  Very average at best.

DG - Sorry guys - I love the kid to, but he has 0 percent as QB.

I would love to have a GM sign him to the practice squad as a WR.  He would out work and out smart and out lead every WR on the team.  If he gets a shot he has a chance.  He won't be a superstar, but remember NFL = Not for long.

Does Funchess have the drive to be great, much less good in the NFL? I'll take the odds on Gardner being a possession WR before I see Funchess doing much at all. I hope I'm wrong, but his desire is questionable.
