I was going to make a Nick Saban/Soul selling to the devil comment. Crazy. I'm a Dolphins fan, so there is no way I can ever root for Satan..I mean Saban. So I hope for 1 of 2 things: 1) Texas wins 52-0 and half the state of Alabama attempts to slit their wrists at halftime. 2) Alabama goes up by 4 TD's only to see Texas come back on them Frank Reich-style and crushes their dreams in the waning moments.

I cant really see Texas winning. Bama 28-17 with a Javier Arenas PR for a TD or a pick 6. Even though hes only 5'9 (at best), dudes a playmaker.

Alabama was so hot at the end of the season. Texas kind of limped in here and has something to prove. There aren't many people better at preparing a team than Saban--but Mack Brown ain't no slouch either. Colt McCoy--senior QB. And Texas' defense is much better than showed up in the few weeks before the Nebraska game. And yeah, call me biased, but Nebraska's defense this year WAS that farking good. Texas, again, in a surprise squeaker 28-20.

I believe that Texas will win this game 20-13. I think that Texas' defense will be able to consistently stop Bama's offense, and therefore, put their own offense into very manageable field positions. That's important because Bama has a defense that is stout and I don't see many long drives happening. I have seen Ingram have great games this year and also some "meh" games. I think Texas will be able to handle Ingram and make Bama's offense one dimensional. Bama will have a few big plays (they are just way too talented to not), but in the end there will be very little consistent production.

I think Bama wins but I hope Texas rolls so every Big10 board will go into meltdown wondering why none of the talking heads are asking "What's wrong with the SEC?!!!" as if they ever would. It will be great to hear them twisting a Bama loss in a blowout as a fluke and no big deal.

I usually want the team with the most years since their last championship to win (Texas won in '06 / 'Bama in the early 90's). But, something about Bama (fan base / the State as a whole/ Saban / SEC) makes me despise them mose than most non-UM-rival teams. And even though my heart breaks with UM's Rose Bowl loss to Texas a couple years back.... it's still 'Bama Hook 'em Horns

SEC BS aside, Nick Saban is who he is and everybody knows that. He is a mercenary or assassin who is hired to do one thing and he clearly does that better or as well as nearly anyone. Plus, when you throw in the MSU component into all this it has to make it somewhat enjoyable to see him win. Especially when Sparty simply didn't match/pony up what LSU offered to keep him. Look where they have been since making that decision. It always makes me smile... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1017936/inde…

I'd like to see Texas win and then have Tebow show up and ascend to the clean-cut post-college quarterback heavens with McCoy in an earth shattering, apocalyptic moment. That said, 'Bama is really good and Texas hasn't played anyone quite on that level yet.

I'm taking Bama -4.5 in this game. But I've been pretty awful this year at picking college football games (NFL is a different story, thank god). How I see it: - Bama brings Tebow to tears in SEC Championship game - Texas eeks out a win against Nebraska (total joke) - Florida takes a dump on Cinci in a BCS bowl game That is why I think Bama should win this one. Big.

in a surprisingly lopsided win. Strength of schedule, team speed, defense favor Alabama, but UT has what many successful underdogs have: an experienced quarterback with a knack for winning. I may tune in for a bit when the PSU-UM basketball game is over, but I hate to see either of these teams playing on Rose Bowl turf (especially when they are kicking last second, partially blocked, game winning field goals).

deserves some credit for their recruiting, but UT is THE school in a top 3 recruiting state. The issue that me and many others have with Brown is what he does with the bounty of talent he has every year. The team should end up in the top 5 every year as UT is the class of the Big 12. Hell, even Tressel has ended up in the top 5 5 times since 2001 and in 3 MNC games.

Let's not forget that there is another top 10 historical program (Oklahoma) in the B12, which Texas has to play every year. The two have about split the series over the past decade. If we would have done the same vs. OSU, Tressel wouldn't have all those national title appearances.

Texas but i really have no reason for this choice other than my hatred for the SEC. If they win the national championship for the fourth year in a row people will start to worship the SEC more than they already do. And Nick Saban might be the biggest low life in sports.

I like the intangibles. For the last thirty or so days, everyone has been telling 'Bama how they excrete odorless feces; everyone has been telling Texas they don't have a chance to beat big, bad, 'Bama. Auburn showed what a 'dog can do if they are more motivated than the favorite. Texas has a few more horses than Auburn. I see this game as the quintessential "if you let the 'dog hang around long enough, they can bite you on the ass" scenario, with 'Bama leading most of the game but not being able to put it away, Texas taking their first lead in the last two minutes, then stopping a late 'Bama drive.
