Bask. But don't drop your load too quick.
Great game. Still re-living the physical poetry of that final drive by Forcier.
But...
Watching the highlights, it's clear that Michigan still has several holes, particularly on defense, can't afford to lose a starter to injury, and most importantly, Weiss is simply not a head coach at this level.
Meaning...
We f-ing beat Notre Dame! Worry about the other games when they happen.

Watching from the stands it appeared that Notre Dame kept running weak side really taking advantage or Roh. Also, Cissoko got completely pwned. Many times. He even decided to not make up for it by dropping an INT that was as easy as they come. Scary stuff on the defensive side of the ball.

Cissoko struggled at times, but he also made a lot of big plays.
I tried watching the coverage and it looked to me like Gerg many times left warren/cissoko without safety help. That is a big big vote of confidence. Both those guys really clamped down in the fourth.
I heard a lot of students railing on Boo Boo but I thought he fought really hard and played well. Seriously, I don't even want to imagine what those receivers would have done to Floyd.

Great win today. I think the UFR will help make some sense of things, but ND looks like they have a good offense. 490 and 34 sounds bad and Cissoko struggled mightily, but I'm thinking that's more about ND's O maturing and playing well rather than M being terrible on D.
The depth issues have been well chronicled here, but ND's blocking on O seemed much better than I thought it would be and Allen was running into open spaces. Other than a few plays, our tackling seemed better than last year. It just seemed challenging to get consistent pressure on Clausen. Given time, he's pretty effective.
Thinking the D side will sort itself out barring major injury given we won't face an experienced qb like Clausen for quite a while.

I agree. The defense seems a bit thin. If I recall correctly, we had some top rated defensive talent with William Campbell on the D-line and Turner and Emillien as DB's. Are these guys going to get a chance to play or what? Maybe they are red shirting this year, or maybe Rich wants them to get some serious PT in a game where that has already been decided. Injuries in the secondary scare me real bad.

RR is getting things back to normal and giving kids time to get the college game figured out before throwing them into action prematurely?

Yes, we had some glaring holes today, 34 by one count, and 490 by another. But somehow we still won.
I'd expect to see some competition over the next two weeks for meaningful PT for the games starting w/ MSU.

too late.

That Notre Dame offense is good, I doubt we play a better offense for the rest of the year think about it too... we don't

I dunno, OSU's still on the schedule.

OSU and PSU may be better overall teams - but not better offenses -- for sure not in the passing game.
