My personal theory is that he's just a kid, roughly high school aged, who latched onto Michigan in 2006. He toughed out the last two years, and now that someone has (well, many people have) questioned his internets credibility, he's awfully butthurt and pretending he was trolling the whole time to save face for his abject stupidity. Basically, it's a temper tantrum. He'll be a Florida or USC fan this time next week.
But I second the ban request, for what it's worth.
I don't agree, I enjoy his stupidity and the chaos it causes. His posts are always a good laugh.

This new troll-like McFarlin isn't as fun. Even if he's not really a troll and is just pretending, I'm not sure he can go back to his old ways now. He's kind of like Old Yeller. I think, in the end, we just need to put him down.
We should look at ourselves in the mirror, and ask us if we did anything to help create this monster who is both aggressively stupid and hates us. Upon reflection, I'm filled with guilt and self-loathing, and feel I should reach out and try to establish a detente with McFarlin. Are any of us really any better than him? Don't we all breathe the same air, have the same concerns, have people we love? Maybe we all harbor these mad impulses, and thus who are we to denigrate him? I believe that...
Screw that. I forgot I'm always filled with self-loathing. McFarlin is a dick.
I have to assume this is a tribute to the man himself since you posted this on two threads. A fitting homage to McFarlin.

Posted on the other, realized it would be more relevant here, then had to go and didn't have time to go back and delete... and a tribute to McFarlin, unless I've gravely misjudged him, wouldn't be a irony filled post that was borderline witty. Maybe one of us is misinterpreting the word homage?
I get my daily kicks watching everyone tear into him.

The thread got deleted, but basically McFarlin revealed himself. About midway through a flame war he started he blurted out "fuck michigan. big ten sucks," or something to that effect. After all of the hoopla, it turns out McFarlin is a real troll although there are those that believe we all just drove him to it.

I wonder if McFarlin is a troll despite the fuck michigan comments. His previous posts over time actually seemed kind of eager to please, despite the sporadic dumb comments. And he started many threads that while weird, didn't really lend themselves to bashing. I wonder if after all the criticism he got he all of a sudden did a playground "you guys all suck and are retards" kind of thing because he couldn't compete?
