Detroit beat Milwaukee tonight in the battle of former Michigan assistants. Thought this was newsworthy on here

Yeah--I might edit the title so it is a little more informative (I was trying to figure out if Bacari and Michael Jordan were in some sort of charity dunk contest together). But the topic is certainly of interest to some of the readership here, and it's not like it's squeezing out some other very important threads at the moment.

Actually, in the spirit of the first post in the thread, I believe the correct question is "Wh?", but I could be mistaken. Either way, news about Michigan assistants - current and former - is definitely not off topic at any time during the year.

Both are having rough debut seasons. Not too surprised with Detroit struggling as they haven't been good in a while. But Milwaukee was coming off a decent season and that program has won 20+ games every other season for the past 7 years.

Still, both are young and I think they could end up being very good.

Hopefully for Jordan's situation they lost a lot of seniors as they only had 1 similar season the prior 6 years.  That said, UW is not a hotbed for attracting coaches so I'd assume the FireLavall.com website is not up and running yet with the 8 wins.  I guess in a way Bacari got the "easier" gig in that expectations and results were so low of late.  But obviously being handed a program that has 20 wins 4 of the past 6 seasons is a nice situation to walk into, usually.  I wonder why the previous coach got fired.
