Article on Donovan Edwards rising to the occasion

When Blake went out during the first drive against Ohio State I'll admit that I was holding out hope that we could keep the game close. I knew that Donovan Edwards had a lot of talent, but his emergence over the last two games is still incredible to me. I also love the fact that he gave a shout out to Blake in his B10 championship MVP acceptance. Anyway, I thought that the piece below about his success in big moments was worth a read:

His shoutout to BC on the B1G trophy podium made me think: if only everyone could enjoy teammates as gracious and supportive as Donovan Edwards. I keep returning to the idea that we are fortunate to be M fans in this new dawn. Regardless of how the remainder of the season plays out (and I want us to continue playing to our potential, which performance realization will reap the Ultimate Result), we have turned a corner in the most major of manners. Love this team.

Did you see Cade's introductory presser at Iowa? He was just as gracious about J.J. Here's the money quote:

"First and foremost, I couldn’t do this without my Lord and Savior," McNamara said. "You know blessed to be able to do this in the name of the Lord and praise His name. Shout out to J.J. McCarthy. J.J. McCarthy is the best quarterback in college football he deservedly needs the Heisman. If he didn’t have to sit behind me last year, he would’ve easily won the Heisman. Shout out J.J. McCarthy this is for you baby.”"

You know, he been incredible the last two weeks, but...uh... did anyone watch him shred Penn State? Seems inaccurate to say he is just now breaking out.

Best quote:

Last week, charging out of the Ohio Stadium tunnel after the win, Edwards proclaimed “damn, this my stadium.” This week, in the wake of a similar performance, Edwards struck the same tone.

“I would say this is our home, too,” Edwards said. “We’ve been here last year, this year, and when we did our walk-through yesterday, it was just like, yeah this is our home right now. We were completely comfortable because a bunch of us have already played here last year. It was just another day in the office.”

Shows how elite the team is. They simply know they will win
