Anyone heard anything about Roundtree in the past year?
This guy is very rarely mentioned, but I have not heard of a reason to completely overlook him. I know he was quite twig-like when we got him, but has he bulked up maybe? A year of strength training has to do something, right?
He must have been a pretty decent recruit since it prompted the famous Purdue quote when we ganked him in the waning seconds of the '08 class. Any news at all on his spot in the '09 class?

My friends played basketball with him at the CCRB and said he was an amazing athlete.

Did they say how big he looked? I think he came in at like 155 or something crazy.

rivals had an article a few weeks ago where they asked the outgoing seniors which freshmen they thought would have a big impact over the next few years. i forget who it was (brandon harrison?), but whoever it was mentioned Roundtree as consistently performing well in practice and likely to have a great future.

I like to root for the underdog - the relatively unheralded recruit that comes in and works his ass off to make an impact. MOAR Mike Harts, please.

All I know is RichRod and Joe Tiller's awkward post-game greeting made me think of him.
Rodriguez went in for a hug and Tiller firmly stood his ground, with this miffed look on his face.

I think Roundtree will have a better career than most think. I know coming in he was listed as pretty thin and a 3 star recuit, but I also recall hearing that he had some of the best hands of any receiver. So I am guessing he is going to end up as a solid possession receiver for us much like Jason Avant.

Most people seem to think that Rivals has the better star rankings. But I guess it depends on who you talk to

I can't imagine Barwis looked at a 155lb Roundtree and didn't immediately start him building some serious bulk

It's not that hard to gain some bulk if you work out regularly you can easyly gain 10-20lb of muscle with in a few months.I'm sure he put on some weight while red shirted. he's pry up around 170 now.
