"Add two more Michigan Olympians": 1 of the 2, Sam Mikulak
James Burrill Angell posted the news that Cameron Bock and Sam Mikulak made the Olympics team. (Kudos, Mr. Angell.)
Still, I thought MGoBloggers might be interested in this longer New York Times article about Sam, both making the team and overcoming mental health issues along the way.

So another poster already let us know that these two made the Olympics last night (literally 3 posts down from yours).
Are you telling me these two athletes were added AGAIN to the same Olympics team? How can players be added twice like that? I don't get it.
Bobsled. Poster forgot to mention that these two were so impressive that they were also added to the Winter Games a la Sam McGuffie.
I acknowledged and praised the earlier post. However the articles linked in that one drew little interest, perhaps because they seemed to simply indicate that 2 Wolverines made the Olympics team.
So because of that small interest, I thought it worth a separate post for readers who might like to look at this very different article that focused on Mikulak overcoming mental health issues to make the team.
Why not just post your article in that thread, instead of creating multiple threads about the same topic?
10.1.1Two reasons.
First, it only had a few responses, and they indicated they weren't interested in a general article about making the team. That suggested the post would get few more readers.
Second, as I indicated, the article I linked was more in-depth about Sam overcoming mental health issues.
BTW, I'm assuming you asked your question in earnest, which is why I replied.
This would have been a nice addition to the existing post. Not worthy of it’s own OP.
Yep.
You are looking good
Unfortunately, Cameron Bock did not make the team -- but was selected as an alternate.
Correct. But he will be traveling with the team to Tokyo, which is a nice consolation prize. And with covid still hanging around, he may yet get to participate.
was he expected to make the team?
He had a tough NCAA championship meet.
So...Add FOUR more Michigan Olympians?
Two posts count in a cube fashion. So two cubed would be eight wolverines. Number of players to the power of (treads plus one). Fucking easy math.
Can someone do the math on how many times Keith Jackson died?
Wait. What?
It is true. Keith Jackson has retired to the Great Broadcast Booth in the Sky.
