I think the swing state thing is overblown (a bit). A major reason for "you know who" to get involved is because there are plenty of people in those swing states who want to have football who also would likely support "you know who" too. Nothing wrong for someone who is supposed to represent you representing your interests.

Don't get me wrong, he's running for re-election and he's a politician. He'd have to be stupid to ignore that constituency right now.

In the West, you don't have those advocates. No one really cares enough. No marches for football, no coaches and ADs getting riled up. No one cares enough. No one to represent.

Chicken and egg imho.

I don't know what brobible is, but I remember seeing the name in my Google feed and immediately blocking it. With that name it can't possibly be good.

That being said. If OSU, PSU or Michigan is playing for the BIG championship and is undefeated, the committee will wait a week or 2.

What would be gained by not doing so? It's not like they don't have the easiest excuse in the world to make an exception this year.
