3rd Quarter and Hidden Hero

As dramatic as the 4th quarter was there is a great story to be told about the third quarter. Last year it seemed like Michigan was heavily out scored in the 3rd qtr (can someone provide the exact numbers?) After ND gained over 300 yards in the first half their 3rd qtr drives went as follows: Drive 1 - 6 yards and a fumble Drive 2 - -1 yard and a punt Drive 3 - 17 yards and a punt Michigan responded with: Drive 1 - 62 yards and a missed FG Drive 2 - 26 yards and a TD Drive 3 - 26 yards and a punt Drive 4 - 64 yards and a TD Michigan - 14 ND - 0 in the third qtr, that allowed us to stay on our feet after ND threw some 4th qtr haymakers. Hidden Hero - In every game there is a play that may go unnoticed because it happens too fast or there are other great plays that stand out. In game 1 Tay Odoms made a great block down field on DRob's broken play TD run. Well he did it again this week - TWICE (on back to back plays!) With 1:19 left on 2nd & 15 Forcier scrambled to his right out of the pocket, Odoms broke off his route and ran parallel to Forcier and made a catch close to the sideline for an eleven yard gain setting up a huge 3rd and 4 play. This time he makes a diving catch just keeping the ball off the turf with a defender all over his back. Perfectly thrown ball by Forcier btw. Without those plays it would have significantly more difficult to win that game. Nicely done Martavious!
